Our Team

Laurie Lokey M.A.

Laurie co-founded Resilient Love with her husband, Bill, after decades of clinical work individually and leading couples intensives together. She is passionate about partnering with people on their journey to find hope and resiliency. She completed her master’s degree at Trevecca University as a Licensed Professional Counselor and she has created an individual intensive therapy model for the healing of trauma which she continues to develop in her practice. Laurie’s love for helping people heal from the impact of trauma led her to work with a specialist and traumatologist, Dr. Lee Norton. From their work, she developed her own modality called “Trauma Stage Processing,” which she and her husband, Bill, have taught to clinicians across the country.

Laurie has worked as an intensive specialist for the past 15 years and has a thriving private practice based in Spring Hill, TN. Resilient Love is the culmination of decades of clinical therapy experience of her and Bill combined with their journey and wisdom of navigating life in light of the love of Jesus.

James Horne M.A.

Clinical Team

James Horne is a relational coach and a Masters level practitioner trained in NARM (Neuro Affective Relational Model). He has a masters degree in professional counseling and has been in practice for over 20 years. As a relational coach, James is passionate about helping others be their true, authentic selves by assisting them in identifying the barriers that keep them from realizing who they were created to be. James has spent over 20 years working in trauma-focused treatment centers serving in the roles of therapist, trauma specialist and clinical director.

His first career was as an Army officer, and after 6 years in the service, he chose to resign his commission and began his own healing journey which included inpatient and residential treatment for addiction and developmental trauma. This experience inspired him to pursue a degree in counseling which allows him to give back the love that was so graciously given to him.

James is currently in private practice as a relational coach. He also facilitates individual and group intensives, and is available for training and speaking engagements.

Will mooney M. Div.

LPC-MHSP

Clinical Team

Will has been working with individuals and families for two decades in a variety of professional and pastoral capacities. As a therapist, his experience includes working with individuals and couples struggling with trauma, addiction, relational dysfunction, and many other complex mental health issues. Will’s approach to counseling is informed by psychodynamic, attachment, and family systems theories, as well as what he has learned through his own journey of healing.

His therapeutic approach flows out of the belief that we are all made to live fully in relationship with God, ourselves, and others. In order to live fully, however, means we will inevitably experience loss and pain. Often our response to pain and loss becomes self-protective and shuts off our heart from experiencing true freedom, and this has a rippling effect into every other aspect of our lives. Counseling is a collaborative process that offers care and challenge within the safety of a therapeutic relationship. Through this process we can begin to reconnect to our heart’s feelings, needs, longings and desires so that we can begin to live more fully as we are made and give more fully wherever we are.
